Shadows
This collection of work concerns Adult Bullying from the angle of the target.
The title of the collection is 'Shadows', a word of multiple meanings and connotations, which reflect the experience of the target.
Bullying casts a very long shadow over lives. It creates a realm of darkness for the Target; like its dictionary definition, a shadow is a dark area or shape coming between rays of light.
The Target is constantly shadow boxing with the bullying.
What might have been if no bullying? The quest to find protection/shelter; what to do with exclusions, walls of silence and ripples of destruction?
The Target is forever chasing shadows and trying to capture them and turn them to their advantage; but can the Target 'capture' memories of devastation, fleeting shadows and redeem negativity? How to make sense of ongoing blight? How to live among the Shadowlands with power and integrity?
